I’m Malerie, a UX Writer and Content Designer with a background in the arts. Here are the skills I’ve honed that really make me shine in the world of user experience:

Communication - Teaching dance to all ages and skill levels has taught me to adapt my communication to the person in front of me so that they can understand complex processes in a digestible way.

Empathy - Whether it’s bringing characters to life onscreen or helping a student learn to jazz walk for the first time, I’m always putting myself in other people’s shoes to understand where they’re at and how I can meet them there.

Collaboration - Working in writers’ rooms has taught me to build complex ideas with other people in an efficient and collective fashion.
